About Tennessee River Outfitters
Chris and Olivia Mattox are lifelong Sand Mountain locals, raised in Sylvania, Alabama, where they attended and graduated from the same high school. Recently celebrating 30 years of marriage, they’ve built their life around faith, family, hard work, and a deep respect for the outdoors.
For more than 25 years, the Mattox family has been rooted in the poultry and cattle industry, shaping a practical understanding of land stewardship, reliability, and community values. They’ve proudly supported Sylvania schools, the Dugout Club, and continue to serve faithfully in their local church. As parents of two sons—and now grandparents—their love for the outdoors is something they pass down through generations, whether camping, gardening, or simply spending time together outside.
That lifelong connection to outdoor living led to the creation of Tennessee River Outfitters.
Located in Scottsboro, Alabama, Tennessee River Outfitters is a locally owned outdoor outfitter serving hunters, anglers, paddlers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts throughout Scottsboro and the surrounding region.
